Brandi Glanville responds to ex-dates claim that she never told him she had HPV
Last week, a talk show host named John Kerwin told Radar Online, off the record, about an uncomfortable date he had with RHOBH castmember Brandi Glanville. Apparently, back in December, Brandi and John got wasted, the two of them went back to Brandi’s house and then John spurned Brandi’s advances. John was too drunk to drive home so he slept in a guest room and then left the next day. The “source” told Radar about the long-over date because John had read in Brandi’s book, Drinking and Tweeting, that she had HPV. He was pissed off that Brandi, who never had sex with him, didn’t inform him that she had an STD, even though he turned her down.
Brandi didn’t deign to respond to that ridiculous story, which would have died on the vine if John didn’t then confirm it all on the record. He told Radar in a video interview that it was “whacked” that Brandi didn’t tell him he had HPV. Then he added some additional details to make it seem like he was ok with the situation, when he clearly wasn’t. “I kind of thought that was whacked too (that Brandi Glanville didn’t reveal she had the Human Papillomavirus),” Kerwin told RadarOnline.com exclusively as he was leaving Katsuya restaurant in Studio City.
As Radar previously reported, Glanville was turned down for a one night stand with talk show host after a booze-filled date last December.
“Things proceeded to get crazy out of control very quickly. Brandi began kissing John in a very aggressive manor, and bit his neck, which drew blood! She made it clear that she wanted to have sex with John.”
But according to the source — John quickly put on the brakes!
“John turned her down because he isn’t the type of guy to have a one night stand. He has too much respect for women to do that. Being too drunk to drive home, Brandi banished John to the guest room,” the source said.
The award winning late night talk show host found out after his date with Brandi that she has a sexually transmitted disease, which she revealed in her book, Drinking & Tweeting: And Other Brandi Blunders. In the memoir, Brandi alleges she got HPV from ex-hubby, Eddie.
The reality star is currently writing a second book about relationships, and Kerwin has a suggestion for the title, “My Life As An Open Sore,” the comedienne told us.
When asked if Glanville was just too kinky for him, John responded, “I think she is fine. We got along, and one point we were on her kitchen floor, I was pushing her, she was slapping me. I think at one point she slapped me in the face, which I thought was hot, which tells you where I’m at…She is great.”
The video interview was more explicit than that, but I’ll spare you. Basically things were getting hot and heavy, John told Brandi he wanted to wait and then she stopped. No big deal. It happens all the time on dates, it sounds like it was mutually respectful, only most people don’t go blabbing to the press about it. Plus if Brandi and John didn’t have sex she had no obligation whatsoever to tell him she had HPV. He told her to stop and she did, end of story. (Incidentally, the CDC claims that “HPV is so common that nearly all sexually-active men and women get it at some point in their lives,” even people who have only had one sexual partner, so there’s controversy over whether prospective partners should be informed.)
In response to this story, Brandi’s rep told Radar “It’s unfortunate John Kerwin’s parents never taught him how to act like a gentleman. Perhaps when he learns how to show respect toward other people he will be more successful, both personally and professionally.” I agree, it was disrespectful to talk to the press and claim that he was somehow upset that she didn’t tell him about her HPV. Again, they didn’t have sex. He can’t predict whether she would have told him or not if they weren’t even in that situation, that’s ridiculous. He hooked up with a semi-famous lady and he wanted to tell details, so he did.
