BIOGRAPHY
Xolo Maridueña, whose real name is Ramario Xolo Ramirez, is of Mexican, Cuban and Ecuadorian origin. He was born in Los Angeles on June 9, 2001. At the age of eleven, he landed a role in the series Parenthood , which he joined at the end of season 3 in the shoes of Victor Graham, the adopted son of Julia and Joel Graham. He will be in the credits of the program until its end in 2015.
He makes appearances in series ( Rush Hour , Twin Peaks: The Return ) and performs numerous dubbings for animated series ( Fast and Furious: The Spies in the Race , Victor and Valentino ).
In 2018, he found a recurring role on the small screen with Cobra Kai . This serial sequel to the cult Karate Kid is a great success on Netflix and allows those nostalgic for the 80s to rediscover the heroes of the initial film, Ralph Macchio (Daniel) and William Zabka (Johnny). Xolo Maridueña plays Miguel Diaz, a teenager who trains in karate with Johnny. The young actor was nominated for the Teen Choice Awards and the Young Artists Awards for his performance.
Before the end of the series, which will end in 2024 with a sixth season, Xolo Maridueña will play the first major role of his career in cinema in 2023. He is in fact the DC superhero Blue Beetle in the eponymous film. This Latino character gains superpowers when he comes into contact with an ancient relic of alien biotechnology called the Scarab.
