Muralitharan and her partner Pearly Tan bagged their first BWF World Tour title in the Swiss Open in 2021. Later that year, Thinaah won the French Open title, becoming the first ever Malaysian women’s doubles to achieve the title.

She took part in the women’s double at the 2022 Commonwealth Games held at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, England with her partner Pearly Tan and won a gold medal. Her opponents were England’s Chloe Birch and Lauren Smith.
